1985 Corvette Detail - Phase IV Interior

Leather:
Wash - Connolly Leather Cleaner
Conditioner - Pinnacle Leather Conditioner

Carpet:
Wash - DP Carpet & Upholstery Cleaner

Interior Windows:
Wash - DP Krystal Vision Glass Cleaner

This was the 2nd time I used Pinnacle Leather Conditioner. It has a faint leather smell and does a great job. I put 2 applications on the leather after washing it with Connolly Leather Cleaner.

The carpet really did not look dirty but just dull. I went over all the carpet with DP Carpet & Upholstery Cleaner. I brought the color up more and look a lot better. It has been years since I cleaned all the carpet.

Everything in the interior is original except for the floor mats which I replaced. I detailed the interior yesterday (4/14/07) but I took the pictures this moring before it started to rain. The flash went off in most of the pictures making the red look a little brighter then it really is and the paint lighter.

I real life the stripes must look GREAT !!!!!!!!!
If it stops snowing that's on my Must Do list, for my wifes car :D

Great looking job :applause:

The carpet stripes on the vertical surfaces are an awesome look. Another great job Gary. Love the shine on your 85. Can still picture it from the last "85 Vette" thread.

do you still drive it? looks hot, gary!

Lauren, I didn't think you liked red. ;) I drove it alot this week. I drive all my cars I just take turns. That topless picture was just for you. :p

Thanks for your complements Stittville Ed and Jimmie. I think the stripes actually come out even more noticable in pictures for some reason. If I wasn't going to post the pictures I would have done it without the stripes.

Surfer, This vette was the first sports car I ever purchased and was the only one I have ever had with an automatic. It was only the 2nd car I ever owned in my life.

Not a bad car for 22 years old considering the majority of cars that old are already at the junk yard.

Great job, Gary! I bet you are really satisfied with Pinnacle Leather Conditioner. I love this stuff myself.

That's a beautiful car, I would love to own an older car one day, but I don't see it happening anytime soon. Great job on the interior.

mmm that interior looks fresh, and those gauges look really cool! You have a really beautiful old school Vette :)

Remember this as the first car I saw a pic of with the digital speedo at 155!!!

Nice detail btw, especially the striping on the doors

Gary, that is a great job! Man you got a lot of red in that car! How do you do those stripes? I know Justin explained it once but I've not been able to make it work.

The gagues look cool. Thanks for sharing that detail. In the back area it looks like there are two lids. Is there storage under there?

Well done Gary, the interior looks really god.

Question, how do you like the Pinnacle leather conditioner? How does it compare to what your used to using? curious to see what you have to say about it.

Man those stripes are wicked! I need to clean the carpet in the Volvo...I'm assuming you used a shop vac? Well at least that is what I'm going to use when I do the carpets in the Volvo. I'm curious how you got the stripes too.

The interior is old school but still cool if you ask me.

Well done Gary, thanks for sharing buddy.

I like it! Great job. Stripes an AGOL signature!:D
Look what Justin has started!!!!!!!!!!Im the MAN

Thanks for all the great comments guys.

Supercharged/Nica I do really like the Pinnacle Leather Conditioner.

Nica - If you read the post on my F150 Detail I did say want I thought about Pinnacle Leather Conditioner and how I thought it compared to Connolly Leather Conditioner with is the product I had been using for many years.

01SVTvert - The car has 2 speedometer's one is a like a bar graph and the the other one is digital with 3 digits so it will to up to 999. It also has a bar graph and digital tach. I think the C4 Corvette was about the about the first car that gave you digital readouts of your average miles per gallon, instant gas mileage and tells you how many more miles you can go until you run out of gas. You can also change all the readouts to metic if you like. It has a lot of computer controled electronics and was way ahead of it's time when it first came out.

Reddwarf/Nica - the stripes in the carpet are very easy to do. A lot of detailer's do it. With an attachment on your vac you just vacum the carpet in one direction for one stripe and in the opposite direction for the next. This creates the striping effect. Very easy.

Reddwarf - there are two locking storage comparments behind the seats. The top also fits nicely back there and has brackets to hold it.

sparkie, what happened to your new Duragloss post?

And that is it?

Nice work buddy! That thing is smoking clean! I don't care for red, but you made it look stunning!

Wow, that beauty was made ahead of her time. Average MPG, miles before u run out of gas, what more can you ask for back then?

Thanks for sharing Gary, that simple huh. Good I'll give it a try. Glad to hear you like the Pinnacle Leather Conditioner.
