I'm a detailing hobbyist and once in a while detail a car for a friend of family member. Here's a few pictures of a GN I detailed a few weeks back. The paint wasn't original, but was in horrible shape. The top surfaces were the worst with a lot of chips and pitting in the clear that probably needs wet sanding to have any hope of coming out. The entire car was heavily swirled and lots of scratches.

Products I used:

Meguiars aggressive red clay w/Griots speed shine
Meguiars G110V2
Meguiars M105 w/yellow LC CCS pad
Meguiars M205 w/white LC CCS pad
Griots Garage paint sealant

Do you have any shots of the entire car before and after? Car looks great though.

Unfortunately, no. It was cloudy outside after I finished washing it and you couldn't really see how bad the paint was. By the time I had finished it was pouring rain and the car wasn't going to move until it dried out, so the only shots I have are what I could manage inside the garage space I had to work in. I added one other shot from the front of the car after it was done.

Hey man, nice to see you posting this over here too! More people will appreciate the work here than SRTForums.

Aww shame, such a great car but at least the last pick shows a better overall shot.

Thanks! I saw your name pop up here when reading through some other threads on this site and figured I should join too. No clue why I didn't think to join a detailing forum sooner...lol.

Those GN's are so cool, nice job. Ok......what is that machine in the reflection that's tubbed?! That looks cool as well!

To me it appears to be another GN, but could possibly be a Regal T-Type or GN clone. Whatever version of the Regal it is, it sure looks mean :hotrod2:

It's another GN. Most powerful one on the west coast making 1050 whp and running 7's in the 1/4 mile. The car is insane.

Here's a clip of that car on the dyno.

Looks like it turned out great! Nice work! :props:

As a side note...I had to do a double take on Wednesday when the wife and I noticed a GN CONVERTIBLE! Not sure why someone would do it to that car but it looked pretty good I guess. :)

This one must be in the east then :D

I could only imagine what the dyno results would have been if it wasn't smoking the tires.

There is a guy going around to the car shows here that has a GN in about the same shape as the one you did. I have been trying to get a hold of that car but he seems to think its already perfect... Looks like you did a great job on it but wheres the sun shots ;)

More like "where's the sun?!" lol

The weather this spring has been depressing so far.

Great job! Love looking at paint corrections on dark cars.:xyxthumbs:
