1989 Black convertible Vette paint correction

I have a 1989 Black Vette full paint correction coming up next Tuesday and just wanted to see what some opinions are on how hard the clear is on these things. The imperfections mostly only consist of wash marks and very light scratches. (Garage kept weekend toy). My plan is to start with a WG total swirl remover and go down from there to maybe a Menz SI 1500 or more if needed. Just needing some knowledge entering into this if I could get a little advice.
