This car was fun. Had a few spots where the clear coat was gone. Was pretty swirly. Took a little over 6 hours. I took my time on it. There were still some deeper swirls left in it but there was so much clear coat gone that I was hesitant to use more cut.

Also, I thought it was kinda tacky with shiny tires so I wiped off the tire shine afterwards lol It just didn't look right to me.

Used LC orange and white pads with Megs 105 & 205. Waxed with Megs ULW

Wow, amazing job! It's too bad about the clearcoat failure, lol I bet you and the owner said the same thing. Cars back in 1990 never had that mirror reflection that I can recall...apart from the damaged spot, the paint probably never looked that good. Tires could use some black and maybe a satin finish. I bet the owner is glad he bumped into you at the dealership. So, what was the owner's response? What did he have to say?

This was the dealerships car. The "owner" was the dealership owner.

Here's the back story

Paints looking good from the video. Nice job! Also pick up some carpeo perl you can determine what level of matte-gloss with how many coats ou apply, and its cost affective with the different dilution ratios. Again nice job. What did the owner say when you presented him with revived black paint?

Nice work! I remember reading the story. Was the dealer pleased too?
