1991 Saturn SL2 2-Step Correction + Cquartz UK

That is amazing all around. Great work sir.

That is impressive and one awesome looking Saturn.

Great job man. Love seeing older cars like this that are very well taken care of. And gotta love not having to worry about door dings!

Phenomenal!

Nice job! Came out great!

Many thanks Nick, I couldn't have done it without your advice and expertise. This project meant a lot to me since it is my very first car and it has a very high sentimental value to me. You are the man! Im the MAN

That has to be the cleanest first gen Saturn I've seen since they were new! Good job.

Thanks man, I take pride in trying to have the best looking first gen around the Bay Area here in California. It ain't your school teacher's old Saturn that's for sure, haha.

This looks awesome! I'm willing to bet BETTER than when it rolled out of the showroom, threads like this are why I come to this page! Thanks:buffing:

:applause:

Thank you. It is because of people I met on the AG Forum that encouraged me to become a better detailer and tackle paint correction when I first started out. I would love to see the look on the faces of people at the old Saturn dealership which is now a Chevy dealership in Concord, California. I always get compliments from the people in the service department every time I take my car there for an oil change and inspection.

Nick @ Autowerx is the man for helping me out so much with trying to better understand coatings and especially CquartzUK. Zach McGovern and his Attention to Detailing Peoria was also a very big help to me in kind of walking me through as well in his process. All I can say is that with all the great people on here, you really can't go wrong.

That's the coolest Saturn I've seen in a while; nice job! It kinda looks like Buick's Regal had a baby with a 300ZX.

Mikertt,

Fantastic job on the detail! Very impressed and hope I can start achieving similar results (noob here).

I have to say, you have a fantastic ride there. I had a '92 Saturn SC2 that was red and silver.. you make me miss that car so much. I wish I still had some parts for you. I had built the motor bottoms up in prep for a turbo application but since I was in college I ran out of money - so I parted it out. I wish would have been able to give those parts to such a dedicated owner.

Keep up the great work!

Thank you so much Rob. Ah, you had the pop up headlights I presume. I appreciate the thought man. I haven't tweaked anything with the motor since I drove it. Only added an AEM short ram intake to it and a full cat back mandrel bent exhaust with an SPS straight-through muffler. Lately, it has been so hard to find any custom parts for the old S-series. There is a small company called AMR Engineering that started out doing suspension mods for the S-series. He sold custom coil over kits and strut tower bars for the front and back.. He also sells 22mm sway bars for people who want to upgrade their stock sway bar and stock brackets. So far, I've only been able to afford the front bar that was powdercoated to match the color of my Saturn. I guess my Saturn detail here is in honor of all current and previous owners of the Saturn S-series. :dblthumb2:

Ya parts will be hard to come by.. it was the same back then. I had only Sprint springs (which I had cut further - I know..) and KYB struts for suspension.. my JE pistons and Crower rods were custom made because they didn't have any off-the-shelf.

Enjoy the ride!

Excellent job, that's a fine looking Saturn! :dblthumb2:
