1992 Mazda B2200... The Beater truck.

Ok, thanks a lot Mike! Going to be doing a single stage project in the near futue, just wanted to be sure!

Thanks for jumping in here, Mike.

I had planned on using M105 on a white CCS pad for the majority of the work. Then coming back with M07 on a gray CCS pad.

I've only had My PC for about 4 days, haha.

I have corrected 80% of my friend's 2010 GTI with a mix of factory and resprayed paint. Let's just say OEM VW paint is HARD, which I knew. The resprayed sections are 95% corrected after one pass with M105/Orange CCS. The OEM sections take 2 passes with moderate pressure using the same combo.

At this point, I'm not looking for full correction on this Mazda. I just need to cut the dead paint first.

Not trying to hijack a thread or anything but I have a question about my SS paint. I had a dent filled and he painted over it. It was the correct paint code and stuff and he's done other parts with the paint on my truck before, but when he sprayed this, it was darker than the other maroon parts on my truck. He said he sanded it and stuff and couldn't get it right. It's not too noticeable, but do ya'll think I'd be able to get rid of it with the polishes and stuff? It bugs me.

You may be able to get a better match by polishing any surrounding oxidized finish and bringing it back. That's when you'll be able to see how well the color was matched. On SS cars that I've had work done to I always polish before they try to match the paint so they're matching the correct color. Still a pain in the neck as the newer paint won't weather at the same rate as the original.

After M205 on a Black CCS Pad...

I really need to get my DSLR back tonight, haha.

Great save on the old Mazda. I had an identical one from 1987 that I loved. These are great trucks with a pretty dedicated fanbase. Unfortunately, too many Northeast winters did the body in on mine.

Thanks!

You might could help me get this one running better...

It smokes when cold, then goes away for the most part.

The OEM PCV Valve was toast, so I picked up another one. Advance gave me the wrong part so I had to go back. Thing is, the valve is in the hole with the grommet, but it won't fully seat nor will it come out.

Any thoughts?
