Matt brought in his 1997 Camry that was in serious need of a detail. We decided to put the PE14 to the test in conjunction with Wolfgang Finishing Glaze and LC Hydro-Tech pads. This combo worked surprisingly well to remove such a heavy amount of oxidation. As expected, the PE14 was extremely smooth yet powerful. The overall ergonomics and light weight of the machine made the job that much easier.

Here are some before shots. I think the car was last washed around a year or so ago :

Notice how Cleanse-All is encapsulating most of the dirt, allowing it to run off.

Yeah, kinda oxidized...

I got my hands on the PE14 and got to work.

We have our process dialed in for the paint. While I polished the paint, Matt got to work on the headlights.

So you did a one step with the wolf gang finishing glaze on the flex pe-14 with a low profile tangerine hydrotech pad? Any holograms?

It turned out great with no holograms. :props:

Looks great! How much quieter is the PE-114 than other rotaries in your experience? That paint really cleaned up nice and so did the interior.

Great turnaround Nick!!! You're really busy over there in AG huh?! Need an assistant?

What do you think of the DP poli-coat sealant? How would you compare it to the WG DGPS 3.0?

How do you like the new Flex rotary?

GREAT JOB ONCE AGAIN!

The PE14 is noticeably quieter than any other rotary polisher I've experienced. :buffing:

DP Poli-Coat is a great paint sealant, although I still prefer WG DGPS because I find it a little bit easier to remove and tends to last longer than the Poli-Coat from my experience. :dblthumb2:

Did you use the DP Cleanse-All at full strength or did you dilute it?

Did you use the DP Cleanse-All at full strength or did you dilute it?

I would normally use it 3:1 or 4:1, but since this car was so nasty I opted for a 2:1 mixture and it worked quite well.

My wife has the same car, this is motivating me to get busy and polish her car. Great job, those camry's are very problem free cars, from my experience.

My god I hope that is not your Camry Matt....since you work for Autogeek and all....

It's my car, but I hadn't driven it in about a year. It became the family beater for my mom to take the dog to the beach every day, etc. Now that I'm in the police academy and didn't want to put all the miles on the S2000, I decided to clean the Camry up and start driving it again. Trust me if I was driving it regularly, it would never look like that

Why did you opt for a finishing glaze from the get go with a tangerine pad?

We always start with the least aggressive approach possible. We tried a Crimson pad at first, but it was not cutting sufficiently. Finishing Glaze can be a pretty versatile product on certain paints and as you can see, it worked out quite well with the Tangerine pad. Those Hydro-Techs can do some amazing things, it's all about the right combo. :)

Nice job Nick!

I like the way you detailed out every step you took from start to a beautiful finish...:dblthumb2:

Another spectacular job! :props:

I know that's a strong cleaner, even when diluted.....would it be safe on black paint?

I don't see why not. Color wouldn't have anything to do with it...if your question is regarding HOT black paint in direct sunlight...I'd probably use it in the shade. :)

Great job on the Camry! It looks to me like the window tint is due for a replacement now.
