1997 Camry Detail - Flex PE14 vs oxidized paint

So what exactly was your process? You sprayed DP Cleanse-All on all panels to start out with or did you start by hosing the car off first? After letting the Cleanse-All dwell, did you hose it off or did you start washing the car with a mitt and car wash soap on top of the Cleanse-All?

Nice job Nick & Matt! Obviously Matt has just been way too busy working at AG to spend any quality time with his car! lol.

Just saw you post Matt about this car had become the family beater. I retract my previous statement. I'm sure AG doesn't allow their employee's cars to be dirty. What type of image would that portray for their products?! lol jk

What are the streaks on the glass? Is that from the Cleanse-All?

I was wondering after you restored the headlights, what product did you use to seal them so they stay in the restored finish?

I'm still wondering what the process was they used with the Cleanse-All was. Does that have enough lubricity to not scratch if you wipe it down or do you just let it dwell (without letting it dry) for a few minutes and hose it off?

That thing was nasty!

Great job Nick!

The PE14 did all the work, I was just there for the ride! :buffing:

Yes, the Cleanse-All actually pulled off some of the dead paint which is what you see running down the glass and the rest of the car while we washed it.

I'm pretty sure Matt used Wolfgang Plastic Surface Sealant on the headlights after he restored them.

We used Cleanse-All along with a traditional wash bucket filled with DP Auto Bath. DP Auto Bath is a very mild, pH balanced soap so we needed something stronger to really strip anything off the paint before claying and polishing. Remember, this Camry hadn't been washed in years! :nomore:

Wow! It seems like a cleaner must really be strong to be able to do that.

So does that mean you sprayed the Cleanse-All on the car and then washed the car with DP Auto Bath? You didn't hose it off before washing with the Auto Bath? Sorry if it seems like I'm repeating the same question, it's just that I've never used DP as a paint cleanser before and I want to know how to properly use it that way. Does it have enough lubricity to be wiped off without scratching or is that something you spray, let dwell, and then rinse or wash off?
