what did you do to fix it....
HP laptops have a recovery system built in, so instead of using disc, you just use the recovery tool, puts it back to the day the computer was originally shipped. I moved files over to one of my other desktops I need for my business. Still not sure what happened, I tried everything and nothing worked except for this.

Now I have to go in early tomorrow and setup the programs I need for my biz since I'm screwed w/o them lol.

:righton: :righton: :righton: :righton: :awesome: :awesome: :awesome: way to go Surfer. Big $$$ saver there.

Yeh I didn't want to have another 2K paper weight, that adds up quickly :D. Started cleaning it up, used some Duragloss Fast Clean and Shine, think I'll top with AW lol.

When I get the other files loaded back I'll send your cable back, appreciate it, for some reason it wouldn't work on my main desktop? Worked fine on the other Computer I have. That was confusing as hell though as I would just click the file and select move, but it didn't tell me where the file went, at first I was like oh sh!t where'd it go lol?!?!. It moved them to I think the program folder on the other desktop.

Is that a monitor or tv? Don't use my main desktop much, but I love the 19" wide screen I bought for it last year. Got a sick deal on it when I bought my laptop, CompUSA had it on sale for like $150 bucks instead of 250 or whatever it cost.

It's a TV..... it's kinda of a "good job wystang" for spending an uber amout of time fixing the computer. It's also a "I miss my porn movies" lost in the big crash of 07 :( cheer me up kinda thing.

LOL.....dude I know how your feeling. My computer decided to take a dump yesterday and I couldn't get it to boot back up. I don't think it the hard drives though, suspecting the motherboard or CPU. Then while checkhing some voltages the power supply died. I purchased a barebones unit today and I'm hoping to just drop in my hard drives and DVD burner and start her up. Damn shame too cause I had some good pron in there.
