I decided to detail some engines. Never really did it before but I figured what's the worst that could happen? :) Both of these were just dirty, not greasy or oily.

I did them both the same way. Sprayed w/ OPC diluted a little more than 3:1. (Only b/c there wasn't much left so I mixed it all) Then scrubbed using various brushes. Finished w/ 303. Shut the hood and let run. Wiped off excess. Done.

First is 2004 Kia Optima w/ 178K. As usual I forgot to take a before pic.

Next is a 2000 Honda CRV w/ 168k.

What else does everybody use to clean / dress engines? I have Megs APC+ up next & I'll probably pick up some Megs HD.

:xyxthumbs:those engines look great! I also use megs apc+ at 4:1,another good cleaner for engines is amazing roll-off.I use sonus trim&motor kote for shine or if you want it really shiny try duragloss ultimate detail spray.

Thanks. I'll keep those in mind.

I totally forgot to mention that I also steamed them after scrubbing.

Great work! That Honda engine would be intimidating. Engines are one thing I haven't done more then a handful of.
