  1. When I do a search in the forum, I can only open a few of the results. The rest of the result give me a "500 Internal Server Error"
  2. How do a search for an exact phrase, rather than searching for any word in the phrase? Ex; Detailer's Paint Coating will give be all results with any of those words in the post.

The server error is likely a temporary problem. I believe if you want to search an entire phrase, you need to surround it with quotation marks, "like this".

2. When you go to search for something there is a option for a advanced search. That should provide you with a way to make a more specific search.

I search the site through google

Search string site:http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum

For search string you can use quotes, AND OR etc. to get more specific but I find just by typing a search string I find what I want

For example, check out my search string here:
Google

Google is a more versatile method to search AGO. It does not have limitations on short work and better on multi-word.

Very helpful information, y'all. Thanks! :dblthumb2:

I agree, it's great to learn something new every day :props:......I just wish I could remember it all....

I always use Google. My question followed by autogeekonline.

using google or your other favorite search engine is the way to go. I use it then use the built in filter to filter down the results to get answers in a time you want to see. Looking up info about a wax from 10 years ago doesn't really do anybody any good.

I can't seem to edit this on my iPad but this link doesn't seem to work now.

What you do is go to Google and type in what you want in their search box followed by a space then

site:http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum

and it will only search these forums
