Got around to finishing these cars today (except for the interior on the Bimmer). This car is pretty rare for a U.S. model. Orinoco Green/Pearl 740iL with a sport package. The interior is cream leather with dark green piping (Hi-Line package is what I think they called it in 2001). Scratch/swirl removal with a wool pad and then polish and finally wax with Meguiar's #26.

Outside pics...it actually got above freezing today, so power washing was done. These pics are before #26.

Then I beat feet over to the Ferrari service shop to complete this Gulf Oil GT (complete with Dan Gurney roof bubble)

I had previously cleaned the wheels and wells while the car was in for service work...and the finish was already in outstanding shape. So, it was some Zaino All-In-One on the lower panels (where some light scratches were present) and Z2 on the rest.

Your work looks great Toto. I can't say I like the graphics on the Ford GT.

Gary: I think the graphics are "period correct" and the owner even found some rare stickers (I can't remember which ones) to complete the car. It's not my cup of tea either, but I appreciate Ford's effort in this car.

really cool, my dad would love that car, he worked for gulf for 22 years, he loves gulf stuff

I am not sure I care for the color either, but you made it look it's best! Oustanding work Toto as always! Thanks for sharing!

WoW WoW TOTO, sweet as always...
See if you can drive the Ford GT to Detail Fest next year!:D

Toto, have you ever thought of making a detailing video? I'm sure you've been asked before, but every time I see your work I wonder why you haven't tried to make one. But anyway, you are a master detailer. Thanks for taking the time to show us your work, it's always appreciated.

Original GT 40

Makes you appreciate the baby blue Gulf paint job.

Nice job Toto :D man I love your wheel well details they're so well done.

Man I wish I could do cars like that, can I come work for you, lol, amazing job man, keep up the good work.

Once again, I was not surprised with the quality of your work sir. Amazing results.

Very nice detail Master Toto, I'm with you on the Ford GT's not meant for me either. I've actually seen a few of these around town.

I'm curious how difficult they are to detail, they seem to have some nice curves.

Both vehicles look great Toto, thank you for sharing.

Thanks Nica (and everyone) for the compliments. As far as detail difficulty, they are pretty easy to work with EXCEPT those doors cut into the roof line and I've hit my head on the door several times working with the doors opened. I guess my brain was telling me not to pay attention because it's just a normal door...then "Bang".

Overall, the car is not as hard to detail as the Ferrari's.
