2000 Cobra (replica)

Hi Richy. I notice that you seem to always use Zep purple for tires and Zep citrus for wells. I'm hoping you can elaborate on why you each one, and why use a different product for the wells instead of using the same product that you use on the tires.

Sure. Zep Purple is nasty stuff. You don't want to breathe it. Having said that, I find that it is an excellent choice for cleaning tires. It will remove the brown junk like nobody's business. ARO is also great for that, but costs much more. ZP is available locally with no shipping costs for a very reasonable price. Zep Citrus, by comparison, is a great cleaner too, but just doesn't have the same effect on tires. It does a great job on well and wheels. For me, it's like having a specific tool for each area. I actually ran out of ZP tonight on a 7 series I'm working on and used OPC instead. Not as good although I will sometimes follow up the ZP with it for a 2nd scrub if they're really bad. A 2nd shot of ZP would do fine too but I bought 2 gallons of the OPC when it was on BOGO a while back and am looking at ways of using some up.
Gosh, that was a long winded answer....hopefully I actually answered your question, LOL.

You definitely answered my question, thanks! How well do you like the Zep Citrus on wheels? I've been on a never ending search for a wheel cleaner that will melt off the baked on brake dust without risking damaging the wheels. It seems like the only options are Iron X or Sonax. Seems like anything else that is strong enough to do the job is also strong enough to potentially damage wheels.

It might; depends on the wheels (weak answer, I know). Certainly very good for neutralizing the acid after using Megs WB. I use it after IX too.
