Good friend of mine has been looking for a good all around car for his daughter that is in college. Picked this one up for $3500 and he wanted to give it just a quick makeover.

Wash - Foamed with DG901 / Hand Wash w/schmitt
Clay - Meg's Clay
Polishing - SIP with Orange Pad via Flex then 106 with white pad
LSP - DG 105 via cyclo with white pads
Tires - DG Aerosol Tire Shine
Interior - Cleaned with APC and dressed with AIM L&V Treatment
Seats - Cleaned with APC and DG leather shampoo dressed with ^

Not a bad little ride to only have 114k on the clock. 4.5 hours start to finish.

Mini detail?!!?!?!?!

Okay so let me get this straight, you basically made the exterior look like new including perfecting the clearcoat, cleaning and protecting wheels and tires, and washing the rest and you call it only a MINI detail!?

:P

Great work as usual. Can I ask how much time for polishing? To be more specific, how much time from sip to 106 to dg105?

Thanks M4gician. I didn't get to crazy with the interior and didn't touch the engine so thats why I considered it a MINI. I basically hit all the trouble spots with SIP/1 pass. After that I moved on to 106 working it the longest. After taking it off I did a quick rinse then applied 105 via grey CCS and PC. I let it stand 30 minutes then took it off. To make sure I got all the residue off I covered the car in MEGS UQD.

Total time from SIP to 105 2.5 hours, but remember this is bug (very small)

Looks great Eric! How are you liking the Flex?

The flex is working good. The weight is a change from the PC/UDM, and I'm basically spoiled with the Cyclo's balance.... The flex has the correction capabilities, but I'm just about ready to purchase a nice rotary. The feel of the flex and weight have me just about ready to pull the trigger.

Thanks everyone for the comments.

So you're saying the Flex feels to heavy? If you're looking into rotaries, I've got a Makita and a Metabo. The Metabo is more like you're Flex and I much prefer the Metabo over the Makita...just FYI. I'm going to sell the Makita at some point just because it's collecting dust now.

The flex isn't heavy by no means, I'm just having to get use to it on the vertical panels and low to the ground vehicles.. I first started with a milwaukee rotary and that is probably the heavy weight of all rotary polishers. I like the makita due to it's 600rpm starting point. If I get ready to pull the trigger soon I'll keep you in mind :)

You did it!You polished a terd. That is a nice job and a super turn-around.My wife had one of those and what a lemon.

Eric, she looks awesome! Man that blue is so glossy...The reflection is jumping out at you.
May I ask, how much faster is the flex than the PC?

Put it this way Sparkie if both were going 0-60

The Cyclo would be 6.0 secs
The PC would be 5.5 secs
The UDM would be 4.9 secs
The Flex would be 3.5 secs

The rotary would be 1.5 secs...

Hope this helps.
