Here's a car that went from eyesore to something the customer can be proud of. This car's paint was pretty trashed. It was filthy and grimy and swirly! But it had never been polished before so it had plenty of clear left. The interior is in good shape. It has 148,000 miles. Here are the before pics:

I used Chemical Guys Citrus Wash & Gloss at a high concentration to get the bugs off. I used the Cyclo Pro 5 polisher with medium syn clay pads for the surface contaminants. I compounded with Meguiar's 105 and Hex Logic orange pads and polished with Meguiar's 105 with Hex Logic white pads. I used the Makita PO5000C dual action polisher. Under all the grime and swirls was a sharp little Saturn!

Very nice! That is certainly a major transformation! I'm surprised 105 finished down that well.

Nice work!

Nice work!

Thanks! Yeah it was a customer that said he was going to keep it forever but didnt want to spend a bunch of money on it. I just hit it quickly with the old standards, washed it off and put Mckee's37 Hydro Blue on it and it looked pretty good. It made the customer's wheels start turning... He said "I think I could get $2000 for that now!" LOL

Customer just texted me that he is getting lots of compliments and he gave out some referrals so hopefully get more work from this one!

Great news! And I do agree: When he goes to sell he will get more than he thought. Darn thing looks good!

I love seeing older "everyday" vehicles get cleaned up. Nice work. And I bet he'd get more than $2k for it. I'd probably buy it at at that price and I don't even need it. Love the shade of yellow.

These are the best types of detail!!

Transformation is just mind blowing...For me and for the customer!
