Well this weekend I tackled WaveRunner, SUV, and the 300 all in one long day!
So I thought I would share with you my details and some products I used since I stepped out of the box a bit on technique and products.
First one is the WaveRunner GPR800!
I just picked it up from the shop on Friday and they were sweet enough to let it sit outside their shop while waiting on a part for it. So water sat in the area you put your feet and wrinkled up the traction strips! I wanted to thank them for this but my bill was half of what they quoted me so I left quietly! On to the details:
Tools for the task….
Washed with DP Xtreme Foam Soap with Pinnacle Microfiber Mitt
Pinnacle Safe Scrub to scrub down the underside
DP Cleanse All Exterior Cleaner on the filth that had built up from sitting outside
Wolfgang Total Swirl Remover with a Wolfgang German Applicator
Meguiars Tire Foam
DP Interior Surface Protect applied with Microfiber Pad
Wolfgang Fuzion applied with foam applicator and remove with Indigo Towel
I would have used the PC7424 with 4” pads but my shoulder has been killing me and did not want to have to hold the machine. I was very surprised on how good it came it with using the Wolfgang Applicator with the Total Swirl Remover!
On to the pictures:
Getting my stuff ready to go…
This is what happens when you leave it outside without its cover!
Very dull
Nasty, it will be pulled out and replaced with new traction strips
You can see on both sides it was filthy where the dirty water had pooled and stayed for the week.
Before wash
Dirt and Grime
After the first wash, this is what dirt marks where left…
I missed a spot
A scuff that will be buffed out by hand
Washed it again…
Looking better, but not there yet
Seat got treated with DP Interior Surface Protectant, I usually use 303 but I was out and this smells much better anyways.
Looks good after one coat.
Hit the handle bars with it too.
And the back pull up bar since it was looking a bit faded.
Wolfgang Total Swirl to clean up the grime that is stuck on.
This is after a scrub down with Wolfgang Total Swirl Remover.
Cleaned up the paint and decals nice…
