Yup. I want to put either the silver ten spokes that came on the 01-02's or the 35th anniversary wheels that came on the 02's (which is what I have on mine).

He's also been talking about selling it and getting something newer.
 
RIP 2002 Camaro Z28

Well some disheartening news. The car was stolen sometime between midnight-5am last Thursday. It was recovered on Saturday. Went to look at it today and it's completely stripped.

The LS1 V8, the A4 trans, the Magnaflow Cat-Back Exhaust, the SLP front grille, doors, lights are all gone.

Very sad. My dad had it for 8 years.

Damn man, that sucks! It's the worst feeling to have something big like a car stolen. I feel for you and your father.

sorry to hear about this. If you don't mind me asking, when you were compounding the car, how could you tell when the previous coating was or was not removed?
 
The search for a replacement has started. We shall see how much he gets and what he will get.

As I was wiping it down with Eraser there was no beading on the painted surface. It was also squeaky clean.

I meant that you said a polish wasn't removing the coating so you had to compound. How could you tell the polish wasn't removing it? There was still beading?
 
I do not use clay. I have the Nanoskin 6 in scrub pad medium grade. The finish had no bonded contaminants. I used the plastic bag technique

Thanks. It's unfortunate the car was stolen a couple months back. It was looking great. I will be polishing up his new car in a couple weeks hoping to get it to look as good as this one. The new car is a 2015 Impala LTZ in champagne silver metallic. I'll be coating that one in gloss coat.
