I bought this bike plasti dipped. It was white in color and wasn't too appealing. I've only owned the bike for maybe a month now.
The white was just a hassle to take care of. One day I decided to do some of the maintenance myself while I had the time, got the oil filter and oil and new drain plug.... so I start taking the fairing off and the screw started peeling away at the plasti dip...
The back story was that it was painted white because the previous owned laid it down. Told me he sanded the whole thing down. Problem I had was that there is still clear under both parts. So i took the plunge and decided to tear it all off. If it needed to be painted then so be it. It's better than looking at the crappy white. Sure enough I peeled more and more off and I was blown away well you can see the photos...
I was up till 1:00am stripping the plasti dip off. WOW. it was totally worth it. Well ill let the photos do the talking I polished it up too. If you want to know what I used let me know.
Let's just say I picked it up pretty cheap...
