My friend from Ballade motor sports was looking to bring back life to his heavily scratched/swirled S2000 that he recently acquired.

Products used
Ultima waterless wash (his shop had no access to water :( )
Auto Finesse iron out
Auto Finesse Oblitarate
Speedy prep fine clay towel
UWW+ as clay lube
Menzerna FG400 W/ Megs MF cutting pad
Menzerna SF4000 W/ LC CCS Grey pad
12% IPA
Rupes ES 21 :buffing: (machine is a beast, my first full detail since owning it)
Griots GG6 w/3" backing plate
Assortment of MF towels
LSP - Black fire WDAF

The damages

Before and after

50/50 shots

Finished results/reflection shots

Total working time 10 hours

Overall i am pretty happy with the results i got with the amount of time i had with the car.

Some areas could have gotten a better finish if i had the time to do some wet sanding

And there were a few areas/defects that were just not repairable

Thanks for looking :) any and all comments or suggestions are welcome :xyxthumbs:

Awesome job!!

What did you do to rinse off the Iron Out without access to water?

great save and turn around, looks like the headlights needs some restoration as well.
i need to stop by this shop bring my ap2 get worked on ;)

What a transformation. That clear coat looks like it has barely and orange peel, is it factory paint?

not sure how much of the car has been repainted but its definitely a mix of factory and repaint. Still need to invest in a PTG so i can be more sure of what im working with and go further into the correction process

Nice job! I plan to work on a friends s2k this weekend as well. And it will be my first full detail with the Rupes 21 too. Im guessing the FG400 and mf pad works great even on the soft paint?

Fantastic!! Those 50/50 shots really show the restoration. Nice work!

It does but you will need to follow it up with a fine polish after for sure. I would do the usual test spot starting with the least aggressive stuff you have and work your way up from there :xyxthumbs:
