Yet another Lighting, this truck belongs to the son of the the guy who ownes the black lighting I did last weekened. Although this one wasn't as bad, it still took me about eight hours. The swirls on the outside was moderate and I got about 95% of them out, I could have gotten out more, but it was getting late and I still had to clean the inside, which was pretty trashed, plus I was really giving this guy a deal on this detail, he is friend, so he was okay with it. Anyway, I finally got to use my new pinn, souv. on a dark color paint, and let me tell you the pictures really don't do it justice, this stuff is more than worth the price, I'm actually thinking of using it as my main wax, I love the depth and color, it almost seems to change the color of the paint, and the wetness factor, wow. I couldn't get really good pics of the swirls, but believe me they were there. The inside was almost as bad as the outside. Here is what I did and used.
Washed: NXT in wash bucket and foam gun, shmitt, purple power apc, mf multi scrub pad, and dried with guzzler.
Clayed: Sonus ultra poly clay and soap water from foam gun.
Polished: Megs. 83 and green edge pad on 5 and Megs. 9 with orange edge pad on 5, I had to switch to ssr 2.5 on the hood.
Wax: 1 coat of Pinn Souv.
Windows: DP glass polish restore and 4" yellow cutting pad with corded drill, stoners IG
Wheels: DP wheel glaze and Megs Hot shine.
Trim, bed cover, and wheelwells: Ardex speedy brightner.
Inside: Water/Woolite mix for carpet, Megs. 40, and Stoners IG
CHeck the pics:
And After:
Well that all for me, can't wait till next weekend, I'll be back at this house once agin detail the fathers motorcycle, a first for me, and putting some pinn. souv. on this:
Man I love that truck, oh yea I almost forgot, when I was here the first time, I told the dad about AG, and told him about a few differnt things I use, and when I showed up this past weekened he had already made a purchase from AG so he could was his truck when I wasn't available. He spent some money at AG, he still has a lot of learning but at least I got him hooked.
