This is a recent car I did for a client. This is also my first post on the detailing forums. Had I known there was such a large online community I would have been documenting all of my work a little better. So all I have a iphone photos, but Ill start really doing some serious photo work. After all I am a professional photographer....

Anyway.

Back story on the car. '03 Saleen Mustang. In the past 6 years it has sat out in the texas sun, not garage kept, not maintained, and never waxed or sealed in the past 6 years with the current owner.

Needless to say, it was a mess.

This is how I received the car. I wish I had taken more photos, this car was a disaster.

After a good hand wash, and then another hand wash, I clayed, and the amount of crud to be pulled off the car by clay was staggering.

Here is the swirling oxidation and pitting after wash and clay.

And after a few passes of CG V32 extreme compound.

Here is a 50/50 of the hood after compound only.

And the final product. a 14 hour detail. Customer was shocked when he saw his car. The best reward at the end of a detail.

Again, I apologize for the phone photos, Ill document upcoming cars much better.

Great work, and welcome!

I miss my Saleen a ton - long story :)

Anyway, those wheels don't look like original Saleen to me but regardless - awesome job on a sweet ride!!

Can't believe they let the car go like that. Great job of giving it some new life.

Nice 50/50 picture. Car looks much better now.

This community is pretty big and dedication to your write ups will be worth the effort. Thanks for sharing.

Nice job! Yeah I need to take better photos too, but I am so done after a detail I just don't want to and don't want to stop in between to take pics either.

Night and day difference. How do you like the CG compounds?

V32 is a pretty heavy compound, its as gritty as fine beach sand almost. But it finishes well. I could have not polished the car and 95% of people would have thought it looked incredible. No holograms or any buffing artifacts.

I finished with V38, then CG Black wax.

Sweet! They clean up so well, great work keep it up
