First I want to say what a great product Guragloss 501 is!! There were a couple spots on this truck that I thought I was gonna have to pull out the heavy compound and go to town, but NOPE the DG501 took them off with just a MF towel and some elbow grease.

Two rust stains, now you see them...

Now you dont

As for the wheels I went with Brown Royal and dressed with some Meguiars Hyper Dressing at 3:1

Before:

After:

This is a 50/50 of the hood, it was SO BAD that there wasnt even a reflection of the light on the side that was only washed with CGCW&G/APC mixture. I did the whole truck with some Optimum Poli-seal, it was my first time using it and overall I was happy. One thing Ididnt like about it is that it STAINS TRIM BADLY! Cleaned up fine but I would rather not have to go through that after polishing a car like with XMT or D151

Looks good. Which tools did you use?

Man you did a great job on this runner.
I give you 5 Stars:)
Amazing how you did it without using heavy compound.
The wheel made me say wow. Lol

nice job, for rims like that, I would spray zep citrus all over and let it do the main work of breaking down the grime, I would then use some car soap or even meguiars hot rims in really bad cases

Thank you all very much!!! Here is my arsenal

1. Foam soak with DP Extreme foam
2. 2 bucket wash with CG CW&G, Megs APC, Dawn mixture
3. Clay with CG luber & Meguiars clay bar
4. Test spot with Megs M66, green pad...barely touched it same with an orange pad.
5. Test with Optimum Poly-seal orange pad then whole truck
6. Meguiars APC+ 4:1 & 10:1
7.Duragloss 501 for the tough spots (I did use the rotary for a few bigger spots)
8. Duragloss 271 for trim
9. 303 Carpet cleaner didnt touch it had to use CG Fabric Clean(wanna get some folex when this is gone)
10. Meguiars Hyper Dressing 3:1 (Dash, wheel wells, Tires)
11. Brown Royal 3:1
12. CG Glass cleaner inside, Duragloss rain repel outside.

Thats it...lol

Here is a shot of the interior not as bad as the one Pureshine just did!! And the running boards before and after some Megs APC+ 4:1

I used to use the Megs Hot Rims...great stuff for an OTC product for sure! Highly underrated!

Nice turnaround! That was pretty nasty!

Thanks! Truck probably looks like that again already... thats what road salt on the road and rainy day will do in a matter of minutes of driving.

Looks great! I was shocked how great the rust removal worked for you and on the wheels. Keep up the good work.

Found out from the owners Son-in-law (the one who brought it to me for her Xmas gift) that she bought it new in 2003 and if she washed it 20 times since then thats ALOT.

The rust stains have been on it for at least 5 years he said... DG501 would have taken them off without the use of the rotary but I used it just to speed up the process! I too was really worried I wouldnt be able to get them out of the WHITE paint. They are gone!:props:

very nice. i just did my 03 4 runner too.
so what did you use to shine the rims like that?

Thanks everyone!!!
For the wheels I used Brown Royal diluted to 3:1, wheel brush for face, and daytona for barrels. I didnt do anything else but dry them with leaf blower I swear.
