Dear Forum Members,

A friend asked me to see what I could do to bring his 2004 Acura's paint back to life. The car has 208k miles on it, mostly highway - so the front end is BEAT with stones constantly. I lost count as to how many paint chips there were. The paint was in pretty tired condition, dull and starting to show signs of oxidation. Swirls and scratches abound as well. This was a 2-stepper, there was no avoiding that.

Wash - Griot's Brilliant Car Wash
Decontamination - McGuire's Clay Bar w/ XMT Detail Spray as the lubricant
Heavy Polish - XMT#3 with Griot's White BOSS pad (5.5") on Griot's GG6
AOI - McKee's 37 360 with Lake Country Orange ThinPro (5.5") on Griot's GG6
Headlights - McKee's Headlight Polish using Lake Country 3" Grey and white pads on 7424XP
Interior - McKee's APC (4:1) for cleaning followed by DP's Interior Protectant Spray
Wheels - Pinnacle Heavy Duty Wheel Cleaner (5:1)
Tires - Griot's Tire Cleaner followed by Griot's Long Lasting Tire Shine
Windows - Invisible Glass

All in all, I hope I was able to take a few years off the paint and put some protection back on it.

Very good job! It's amazing how that big scratch on the back door got rid.
