This is my first writeup so please excuse the picture taking and literature in this thread. Go easy :)

This Chevy SSR was left in a barn for 8 years. Mice and rats infested the interior and the exterior was not washed for the duration of the 8 years. The customer contacted me and we agreed on a 1 step paint correction, engine detail, and wheels off cleaning and coating, and interior extraction and steam cleaning.

Process:

Washed, degreased, and coated.

Interior-
Mytee Spyder Hot 60
VX5000
Assorted APC, Folex and carpet pre-treat

Exterior-
Wheels-Brown Royal and IronX
Tires-Tuff Shine Tire Cleaner and coated with Tuff Shine Clear Coat
Wash-Citrus Wash and Gloss and APC mix
Dry-Metro and waffle weave guzzler
Clay-Nanoskin towel
Polish-Meguair's 205 and Menzerna 2500 with Lake Country hybrid orange cutting pad
Exhaust-0000 steel wool and metal polish
Coatings-CQuartz UK, CarPro Dlux, CarPro Flyby30
Odor-CarPro So2Pure Odor Eliminator

Oh yea I forgot about those car/truck things. You got that thing back to sparkling! Must have been kind of cool working on a purple vehicle, that is not an everyday color!

Very nice!! That color really makes a statement out in the sun.

Very nice! Congrats. :xyxthumbs:

It was very a unique color and truck, thanks for the comments.
What a great save! Fantastic job buddy:)
Thank you

Nice work, how did the mice an rats get in ? did you find the source ?
They came in through the firewall holes where the wires run. Should have taken more interior photos, there was rat feces inside the ashtray, it was everywhere. They chewed up the wiring harness. It took the local chevy dealership a couple weeks to fix and then I recieved delivery of it and sad part is it only had 4600 miles on it.

Awesome job!
Thanks

Wow...did you take the seats out to extract?
The seats raised far enough to get steamer in there and vaccum to clean thoroughly, plus owner did not want to remove seats, no reason as to why.

Very nice!! That color really makes a statement out in the sun.
Thanks Zach
Very nice! Congrats. :xyxthumbs:
Thank you
great work chris, the truck looks great!

Appreciate the comments.

Nice job on that one of a kind vehicle
Thank you and it was definetly a rare truck and situation.

Brave of you to take on the job.....personally i dont know if i would ! Unless paid enough!

I did one of these a long while ago in black where the dealer did a nice job of swirling the paint. The owner had this huge garage at his business and one rainy day, I spent some time polishing it out. It was not in near the bad shape this one was. Great work! I always like to see these big time turn arounds.

HUMP

Fantastic work! It's amazing how much damage mice and rats can do to a vehicle.

I always liked those trucks until I sat in one at a Mecum auction last year. I couldn't believe how cheap the interior was.
