That kind of gets to me Silver looks clean and shiney but you never get that deep mirror shine you do with deep colours, reason why i'm not keen on posting pics.

Same here. All the pictures I've taken of my silver car after detailing look nice and clean, but nothing spectactular.

And nothing like a more pain in the arse color to clean then black:D . IMO, sometimes I think my white is just as bad. Other colors like silver/grey hide dirt, swirls etc pretty well.
 
Yeah, black is the true test as to whether you can be called a detailer or not.
