Ok..I am back...between doing the truck and then running errands...what a day..I am sore ...
First off this morning after the rain I washed the truck..used the CG citrus soap with a strong ratio...1 1/2 oz to 2 gallons of water...this was the first real hand wash of the year...so I wanted it clean before claying....
Now to claying...
I broke out the old Erazer clay I had and I used a new clay lube ..It is a clay lube with contaminate release agent...the release agent is suppose to break up any fallout so the clay picks it up better...seemed to really work...stuff is super slick with the clay and really helped it glide along and I felt it bite alot...did not have to really soak the paint with it as it really made the clay glide nice...seen no additional marring from the clay also....
After the claying I came in and made a pitcher of Grey Goose Bloody Maries...I knew I was going to need some pain killer..lol....I was going to use the Rotary but having a cocktail and a rotary do not mix...so I grabbed the PC and the CSS green and white pads....
Polishing....
I broke out the Menzerna twins...106FF and 85RD and Opt polish
I wiped each panel down before polishing as the wind was blowing and tree stuff was landing every where...
I started with the 106FF and a dab of OP to add a little lube for longer working time.....started with a white pad to see how they worked with this combo
I started with the hood...I took some before picture but they came out bad...really red looking...I suck at taking car pictures...
I worked the combo for about 7 minutes ..boy the CCS pads work so nice..cut right away and left no micro marring...I had a blue pad also but never used it...
I was very Impressed the way things were going....there was some good marring from ice sliding off the hood this winter..wish the pictures came out....
I then started to work around the truck doing panel by panel..
