i just recently got a 2004 silverado; unfortunately it was kept in Louisiana. It wasnt washed and waxed like it should have and I have HARD waterspots all over the truck. i have tried using a clay bar, followed my maguiers gold class wax; and it did nothing. The truck doesnt have a smooth waxed finish, after the waxing and the waterspots are still very visible. i am bummed and dont know what i can do to fix the look of my truck.
 
Hello and welcome. You may have to end up doing some polishing. If you can post some pictures so the guys can help you in the right direction.
 
thank you so much for your reply. i will see what i can do about some pics. i also have them on my windows too. it is very aggravating.
 
You prob need a DA with Lake Country yellow or orange flat 5.5inch pads used with M105. Then use white pad with M205 to polish.

So steps is
1. Wash car
2. Clay whole car
3. Use M105 with yellow or orange pads, depending on how bad they are
4. Then follow up with 205 with white pads.
5. sealant
6. wax

a few questions (sorry im new to this detailing thing) what does DA stand for? what is lake country yellow or orange? where can i get this stuff at?
i was claying the truck; and it wasnt taking any of it off. but i guess, i should continue to clay the whole truck, right??

I know a lot of people suggest Megs 105 & 205, and rightly so.........they are great products but............there are some people that have trouble useing 105....I know I did so............

I tried Megs Ultra Compound and got along great with it.

So You might try Megs Ultra Cut , you can get it at most auto retailers

....and still follow with 205 because it's a pleasure to work with.
