Looks great!! Amazing cars. They got a bit of kickback from GTO purists, maybe shoulda used a different name for the car, but they were fanatastc cars. Loved the G8's too. GXP was a kickass car. Maybe they shoulda called those GTO's G8's??? First genaration. Oh well.
Great work on it.

Great work on it.

Thank you!

It turned out really sweet!

Great looking car. I don't think they ever got the credit they deserved.

How did you like using the coating? I think this is the first time I've seen anyone say they used it.

Great result, super glossy. It looks very original, except for the door handles, as these originated here as the Holden Monaro, I can't say I've ever seen one with non body coloured door handles, were these painted black, or are they just black plastic?

There's one a few streets from me that I occasionally see while walking my dogs. It's bright yellow, and in reasonable condition.

Beautiful work and car! Always love those hood shots.

I’ve also never seen one without body color door handles. Easy fix. Yeah they got called grand prixs when new, but who cares. They command a lot of money these days.

Looking at the carbon fiber grill nostrils, I'd say the door handles were to match. But no, not standard practice for a Holden of that era.

I will say though, I never cared for the nostrils, the single grill opening on Holden Monaro original looks classier in my opinion.

And for those who don't know, Aussie designer Mike Simcoe sketched out the Monaro on a napkin while at lunch with colleagues. The project was done on the quiet and presented to management as a fully developed concept and promptly got approved for production. Mike Simcoe is now the head of design for all of General Motors.

I might be a Ford man, but I'd cross the line for a Monaro.

I really like the D.Quartz coating. Easy on/off, looks great, very slick feeling

Love that car. I had a 2004 GTO when I worked for GM (Delphi) - 5.7L, 6speed, black on black. I've had a lot of cars and trucks and that is the one I wish I wouldn't have sold. It was stupid fast and would still get 28mpg on the highway.
