The owners got home yesterday and they were ecstatic on how it turned out, said it looks like I swapped in a new car!

Thanks man, to be honest I think this is the most proud of any work I have done of any job I have had. I guess they say to find out what makes you happy and make that your job.

Great transformation man! I would defiantly be proud of that one. You had some really good pictures in there. Keep up the good work with the Nikon!

You did a great job. I love when people give the products and steps used to achieve their results unlike one south florida detailer who toots his own horn and leaves you hanging lol. Golf clapping here.

Just curious, when you tried the 105 / 205 combo, was this both with rotary? Wonder if you would have used DA with the 205 step if it would have given you better results. (sorry if you already said and i missed it).

Good job

No prob, G26ER, I was using a Meguiar's DA G110 with it. As I progressed through the process I found the right arm speed, pressure, amount of compound etc. When people talk about paint and cars being different they aren't kidding. And i can see why Mike Phillips preaches the "Test Spot".

That's pretty much what I did, but it was one half of the hood I kept working with until I found what worked and it clicked. Then it went much better from there on out.

I already have a 2006 Yellow Vette, 2012 White GMC extended cab and a minivan lined up.

Wow, what a save! The XLR was a wreck and now it looks better than it did on the showroom floor!

Thanks, Derek!! I can't thank you all enough, the encouragement and tips you give are invaluable!!:buffing::props:

Wow, really great job, that thing was bad!!! Great pictures, your good work shows in them.

Talked to my Uncle today about how pleased he was with the car and he is ecstatic! He wanted advice on how to maintain it properly, so I am setting him up with a little maintenance kit. He said one thing in his email to me that about put me on the floor he said, "we CAN NOT put swilrs back into this car, so that means we can't use the dust mop on it anymore!" I about crapped a brick :) No wonder it looked like it was buffed with a Brillo pad :)

Not a seasoned detailer, you say? You did pretty darn well! Great pictures, especially.
