Today began the adventure of my first complete 1-step correction. Who was the victim? My friend. Thankfully he still considers me to be such so I figure I did a good job. Haha.
The vehicle I worked with today was a 2006 Chevy Equinox. This will be the first vehicle in my portfolio. We decided to go with a 1-step correction today as we were somewhat limited in terms of time and this is a DD anyway. The objective was to remove most of the light swirls on the vehicle.
For the sealant this time I decided to go with Chemical Guys Jetseal 109 since I had a ton of it lying around. I had gotten a bunch of it before I found out about Blackfire Wet Diamond and that was the end of Jetseal 109 for me. BFWD is my current favorite sealant.
Anyway, let me know what you think! I plan on doing a similar process except 2-step on my DD in a week or two.
Products used:
Chemical Guys Maxi Suds II
Optimum No Rinse Wash & Shine (clay lubricant and quick detailer)
Meguiar's Smooth Surface Clay Kit
Meguiar's M205 Ultra Finishing Polish
Lake County CCS white (polish) & gray (sealant) pads
Chemical Guys Jetseal 109 sealant
Before Meguiar's M205.
After Meguiar's M205 with white CCS pad.
Side shot. Awesome reflections on a silver vehicle!

Once again great reflections! You can clearly see me shooting the photo in this one.
Another rear shot. M205 did a great job of cleaning up the swirls.
Hood after one coat of Chemical Guys Jetseal 109.
Side shot after two coats of Chemical Guys Jetseal 109. You can see my Civic Si parked at on the side of the road.
Trunk after two coats of Chemical Guys Jetseal 109.
