Previous customer of mine decided to get a "fun" car. Dealership really tore it up before delivery. He dropped it off for the works. I didn't have a hard time wondering why.

Looks like the dealer used a lot of products to conceal swirls

Amazing correction! What products did you end up using on the Z06?

Amazing! Blackcars always have the best turn arounds. One of my good friends just picked up a black 2002 mazda protege5. I cant wait to get my hands on it. Ive never polished a black car. In fact, he doesnt even know that I want to polish it. But I know it will need it. I just told him I want to detail it haha.

That Corvette looks amazing!!! The gloss is so deep and reflections are clear as can be.

Holy Smokes, talk about a transformation! :wow:

The owner must be at a loss for words right now because his new toy looks better than new!! :props:

Thanks for the great comments. He was truly excited to get her back and keep it locked in the garage hahahahahaha

Amazing correction! What products did you end up using on the Z06?

For paint corrections, I used
Makita 9227c + LC white wool braided and white VC pads
3M rubbing compound
3M machine polish

BTW I'm ditching 3M for 105/205. If you want to know why you can read it here: http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum...rustration-3m-products-input-appreciated.html

Kinda disappointed Mike didn't respond.

Flex 3401 w/ LC black CCS pad
P085RD

Two coats of Blackfire Wet Diamond
One coat of Blackfire Midnight Sun

Thanks again guys!

:urtheman:Great job, now my quest is visually shone to me. Blackfire it is. jerelect

Super result! I'm sure your customer is much happier about his purchase after you finished.

I wonder if car dealers realize how much money is being left on the table by having a dirty, damaged paint, worn looking car sitting on the sales line like that.

I would sure think twice about a car if it was filthy and looked terrible and I was making an offer on it.

What did you use to polish the exhaust tips?

Mothers Polish and elbow grease. Mostly elbow grease ;)

Fixing a dealer prep is probably my biggest money maker. I detail so many cars with temp tags it isn't even funny.

You will NOT be disappointed in the Blackfire wet diamond / midnight sun combo. There may be better products on the market but I have yet to find products that compliment each other so well.

Great work, that is one beautiful Z06!! :)

Thank you sir I agree!

Awesome job!! :dblthumb2: and killer 280Z in the background. What's the story on the Datsun?

Factory L28, triple webber side draft carbs, beefed up internals and currently getting hefty suspension upgrades and powder coating. One of two long term projects, won't be going anywhere for a while. They are currently building two other 280/240z cars and one of which has a 6.0+ LSx motor transplant. The other is getting a lot of new floor panels and such welded in due to excessive rust.

I detailed this one about four years ago, their shop #### and their first to get a Chevy 6.0, since then has been outfitted with a lot of go fast parts. At the time it sat forever in a fab shop and I ruined four clay bars pulling off all the fallout. Still shines today.
