Hi all, so I got a new client with a pretty nice collection. I did my first job for him today, a 2006 F430 Spyder. It was in very good shape to begin with just extremely dirty. I gave it a little makeover.
Wheels cleaned with CG Diablo 1:3.
Tires and arches cleaned with Megs APC 1:4.
Paint foamed, then washed with CG Citrus Wash and Gloss.
Decontamination with Nanoskin towel.
Engine bay wiped down and dressed with CG Back to Black.
Polish with CG Blacklight on blue LC flat pad and 3" HT crimson pad.
Wax with CG Pete's 53.
Wiped down with CG V07.
Arches dressed with CG Bare Bones.
Tires dressed with PB Bold N' Bright.
Exhaust tips polished with Megs Metal Polish and 0000 steel wool.
Interior vacuumed.
All interior surfaces wiped down with PB Natural Look.
Glass cleaned inside and out.
Here' how the car looked when I started:
The exhaust tips are a mess!
Wheels have a solid layer of brake dust and it looks like the barrels have never been cleaned:
The owner told me he doesn't want the tires dressed because this happens:
I convinced him to let me try and change his mind about tire dressings.
Diablo at work:
Here is the back wheel all cleaned up
Once I decontaminated the paint I brought the car back inside and looked at it under the LED light. Only some minor swirling, I didn't think on a silver car it would be worth polishing these out.
Blacklight curing
The exhaust tips proved to be too much for what I had on hand. I'll have to come back with a drill and something a little stronger to polish the metal. The left side is polished, need to do the right side still:
I brought the car back outside for inspection:
Wheel clean and tire dressed
