2006 Nissan Titan – One Step Paint Correction
This Titan came to us for a one step paint correction. It wasn’t in terrible shape but it benefited greatly from the paint correction. Correction was done using Meg Ultimate Compound and Surfbuf pads on a PCXP. Total time was about 10 hours.
Products used
Dawn Dish Soap
Meg Clay (white)
Meg Ult. Cmpd.
WG DGPS
Meg Water Based Dressing
Surfbuf 5.5 pads
PCXP

Great work! What did you use on the tool box?

Looks good. Were you able to get the surbuf pads to finish down well? Its hard to tell from the pics if there is a little haze left. I have always used them for compounding only and always followed up with a finishing polish.

It finished down really nice to be honest.

Initially the plan was to do UC/Surbuf, M205/White pad. We didnt see enough difference after the M205 on the test spot to feel it was necessary.

That looks great! I am inpressed how well the Ultimate Compound finished.

I polished it just as I would paint. I used a white pad and ultimate compound. Then sealed it.

looks awesome! The reflection shot on the hood is amazing!

Its the end of the world.

Nice job on the truck for a one step.

It looks great in the sun, and the sun does not lie.

That seemed like an unnecessary response to a legitimate question. And while sun doesn't lie those pictures aren't perfect. I agree to truck looks good for a one step especially considering it was done with a surbuf pad, but it's obvious from the pictures it could have been refined.

But with that said as a one step it looks good, and if the customer was happy thats all that matters. Your sarcastic, negative comments are getting a little old though as far as I'm concerned...not that my opinion matters in the grand scheme of things. :props:

I think with a better camera you guys may feel as if this one step was alot closer to 85-90% correction without much haze left behind.

This point and shoot camera doesnt give very clear pictures and seems to display a hazy picture.

But as Spicy said above, as long as the client is happy with the results, that is the important thing.

Thanks for the kind words

Agreed, you can never get 100% correction out of a one step no matter what you use. But that doesn't mean it doesn't look good. It looks great. :props:
