2006 Toyota Camry, black. 186,628 miles.

I had a client of mine refer this gentleman to me to see what I could do for his daily driver Camry.

The vehicle has lived a hard life of many miles, 186,628 to be exact, and neglect along with a little abuse and a few children, however, it runs fantastic and he does not wish to replace it anytime soon.

The owner stated that he would like to have the car look glossy again. He inquired if I could tackle some scratches, scuffs, haze, marring and some swirls. I looked the vehicle over. After explaining what I thought was possible, I waterless washed, clayed and did a test spot for him so he could physically see what results could be expected.

He was pleased with the outcome. My client decided on a 1 step product due to budget, time constraints and the canvas. He booked a date to drop it off to the doc at Autodermatology!

Process:

2BW: SCG Pro strip wash.
Clay: Griots prep mitt X2.
Cut/compound: Flex 3401 with Tuff Buff wool pad and M101, then Griots MF pad and Fast Correcting Cream. This was done on the hood, rear deck and spots that needed the ‘heavy’ chopping.
1 step: Megs D151 with Flex 3410 and hybrid medium foam cut pad. The rest of the vehicle received this treatment. I also went over the areas that got the heavy compounding with this in order to finish it down.
Wheels: Adam’s wheel cleaner, Daytona brushes.
Tires: Tuf Shine tire cleaner and brush.
Tire dressing: Adam’s VRT.
Wheels sealed with Hydro 2.
LSP: Griot's Liquid Gloss Poly Wax.
Glass: SCG Pro glass cleaner and sealant.
Vacuumed via Metro.
Leather/vinyl: cleaned and protected by Pinnacle.
Engine: 1Z ACP.

Overall, my client was extremely happy with the transformation his vehicle received!

This isn't your typical car/customer. Looking forward to the results.

Why are you taking selfie photos in a mirror? :)

Seriously, that is some impressive clarity. Awesome results.

How many hours total?

Wow! Outstanding work Scott! Always love your post my friend.

Outstanding work. I personally love projects like these over correction & coating jobs, lol. As a weird side note, I have always loved this generation Camry for some reason. If I could find a lower mileage Sport edition with leather, I would buy it on the spot.

Dang... Thats impressive. I clicked the title without seeing who posted it. Once I read the thread I was like "Wait... Sizzle Chest did a camry?"

Looks incredible.

I agree with the body style 2002-06. This body was a huge improvement styling wise over the 97-2001 Camry. For a Camry I thought Toyota nailed the styling. Not too conservative, but still looks good to me 15 years later. The SE does look the best.

^^^LOL! It takes some time to post these threads!!! You were too fast...then I caught up to you! Indeed it is not my 'typical' vehicle. My new client said the same as he came over for a quote and saw the GT3 that I was in the midst of working on! I rocked this out in about 9 hours.

Fantastic results!

Thank you!

I enjoyed this as well...it was very satisfying to take it to where it ended up!
