This is actually my personal vehicle which I have been putting off doing for awhile. We purchased the Suburban last fall and the paint was pretty rough at that time from the dealer. It was covered in swirls and also had its fair share of buffer tails down the side. I decided to wail till spring before I would do anything with it, and the time has finally come.

You can clearly see just how rough the paint in even through all the dirt that was built up on the exterior.

Being that this is my personal vehicles I didn't take nearly as many pictures during the wash and decon process, which includes a strong foam pre-soak, followed by a 2 bucket method wash. After that I follow up with an IronX soak followed by a wash again. My last step is go around the vehicle with a fine grade Nanoskin wash mitt. After this the vehicle is dried with waffle weave's and my master blaster.

I still need to apply DLUX to all the trim, however I needed to get this out of the garage as I had a clients car show up for the weekend. I will apply DLUX and Forte Glass coating at another time.

Fantastic job. Really like that you removed the badges. To me it just looks much cleaner and in return is easier to clean. How long did it take you?

I think I had about 15 hours total in it roughly. Like I said I still have a few things I need to do on it, but it had to be out of the garage to take care of a clients vehicle. I will have to finish the rest of the stuff up another time.

Wow fantastic job! Nothing looks better then freshly polished and detailed black car;)

Wow! Fantastic job indeed. That's quick at 15 hours for such a messed up finish and I consider myself a fast worker, I don't think I could have done that in 15 hours...that's a big beast. Finest for the win too. Great job!

Nice. You are here as well :)
Yup I am a member on here also.

Yup hard to be the looks of a freshly finished black vehicle.

I must say that being that this was my personal vehicle I was not as nearly as fussy as I would have been with a clients. I also did not correct the roof on this (only because it is my vehicle) as I really don't see the point in it. So that saved me some time.

Excellent work, looks fantastic. I'd recommend keeping the badges off!

Yup the badges will not be going back on. I am going to making the chevy emblems black also yet when I get the chance. I will also be putting a smoke film on the headlights and the tail lights and getting the front windows tinted. I have a leveling kit sitting at home also and will be putting 33's on it this fall.
