Alright, this is my sisters car, she kindly lent it to me for practice. When she bought the car i cleaned it right away, and it was in awesome shape. It was brand new but as you know they dont always come out of the dealership in great shape.
I went over do's and donts with washing, and general paint care and she has done a great job following that.

Here we are over two years, 50,000miles later and it still looks good, but i wanted more than that.

Eagle one wash
Meguires Clay(with soapy water in spray bottle)
Meguires #83(on Maroon pad with PC)
Meguires #9(on Yellow pad with PC)
Collinite 845 by hand

Like i said paint was doing alright, fine swirls, and very few rids
before wash

hehe, nice job. cool that you were able to get nice results with very few steps.

yeah, i believe presidential_detail has the same christmas lights in his reflection pics. funny stuff!!!

To make that atomic blue color look so wet it shows you did a great job man. BTW did you find that the clear on the civic was much softer than the saturn you did?

Thank You! The clear was definatly softer, one pass with the #83 breaking it down till it was clear was all it needed, the saturn required 2-3 and it still didnt get it.

I made sure with #9 to really jewel it up, i love how it came out,it almost looks like a whole different color from when i started.
It was about 7 hours but worth it

Thanks again

exactly...while that latest gen honda paint is uber soft and makes for easy correcting, you also need to really pay attention to correction. well, not you specifically, lol, but everyone because that clear will etch itself to death at just the sight of a sprinkler or something similar.

again, nice work.

Looks great, man. Awesome job. The paint looked shinier at night after the 845 than it did during the day before any work was done! :buffing:

That looks a lot like Arizona. Am I right? I have an 06 civic in gray and it had really hard paint. I love that blue.

Yep Im in east mesa, thanks for the compliments!
