 This is my personal automobile. I do the best I can to keep the car in tip top shape, but when its two years old and already has 33k on the odometer, things occur that are out of my hands. Like the paint chips on the front end (i hate how thin honda's clear is b/c this thing chips like and egg shell.) The car has accumulated a far amount of swirls due to heavy winter washing to remove road salt and its been over a year since the last thorough detailing.

Interior Process
Trim:
APC diluted in 5 gallons of warm water used to cleanse all interior trim
Optimun Protectant Plus used to dress/protect all interior trim

Carpets:
Vacuumed

Mats:
Vacuumed
Meguiar's APC

All Weather Mats:
Vacuumed
Blown Out
Meguiar's APC

Windows:
Stoner Invisible Glass Cleaner

Exterior Process
Paint Cleansing:
Pressure Washed
Duragloss #901 car wash concentrate w/ 5 gallon wash bucket with grit guard
Pinnicale Ultra Poly Clay
DP Universal Clay Lubricant

Wheels, Rims & Arches:
Arches, Tires, and Wheels cleaned with Meguiar's Wheel Brightner

Paint Correction
Dewalt Rotary / Optimun Compound / LC Yellow Pad
Dewalt Rotary / Optimun Polish / LC White Pad
PC 7424 / ClearKote Moose Red Glaze / LC Blue Pad
ClearKote Yellow Cream Wax


Paint Protection
ClearKote Carnauba Paste Wax (2 coats)

when you say winter washing, you actually used a mit or brush to get the soap off of your vehicle? I had an 01 CL-S that I just recently got rid of, washed it one time between nov and feb here in ohio, winter wasn't too bad, but with only one wash, I had very very minor swirls induced back into the paint from only one wash, and that was basically a rinse, and a spot free rinse.
 
yes i actually used a mitt haha, it was like any other wash. When you work at a car dealership and occasionally have some down time, i would wash the car...i would wash it every other week or so +/-...so swirls became induced.

Update...the civic engine bay has been cleaned and died, the exterior has been washed and clayed. Now its cover with my covercraft cover and a tarp due to the approaching rain. It will sit until Sunday when i will be able to resume!
 
Looking at the process described it looks good but are you planning on all those paint correction steps? I wonder why you would need to apply the XMT on a PC after you compounded and polished with the rotary? That seems kind of like overkill to me. I can't see how you will improve the finish with the swirl remover after you have polished with OP. I am assuming that the OP will be on a polishing type pad and not a cutting pad.

you are correct pat...nothing is definite, just sort of an outline. The only reason i added the possibility of the extra step is b/c the first two steps will be with the rotary. The PC and XMT is an extra step if for some reason im not happy with the polish job from the rotary or if their is some buffer trails from the rotary.

Process:
1. Dewalt rotary @ 1400 rpm w/ LC Yellow Pad and OP Compound
2. Dewalt rotary @ 1400 rpm w/ LC White Pad and OP Polish

I know that its an improvement and looks much better but for one reason or another i am never satisfied and feel more can still be done...what do you think?

haha idk about all of that, but thank you bunyz06rabbitt.

one issue...i am having some buffer trails appear...i put a box in the next photo showing the lines (they are also evident on the front drivers side quarter panel...any suggestion?

Star sapphire, metallic flake, engine-eat off of, rims- inside too and my favorite the wheel well spotless! A budding Professional, all the way to the bank!

I miss my Fiji '07 Si coupe...great car. Awesome job on the detail!
