:wow: Great job! What did you dress the engine bay with?

Nice!!! :props:

After you sprayed the engine with the foam cannon, did you not have to cover anything when rinsing? How did you dry the engine?

Nice job on the Bimmer! How did you find the clear...really soft like the straight black? It sure corrected nicely for only a one step...nice work on the interior as well.

I used a blue tire dressing much like the Meguiars Hyper dressing ..... I use an air gun to blow the excess dressing off tthen close the hood, polish the paint & by the time the car is finished I'm able to go back w/ a MF towel & wipe any excess dressing from the engine bay.

I use the most gentle spray with the foam cannon (straight water) and do a very quick rinse so as to not concentrate any water on any one area for more than second. Afterward, I use an air gun to blow standing water out of the deeper areas and a cotton towel to dab the remaining. Then I spray the dressing, let it stand for a few minutes and again use air to blow excess out.
After the car is finished I can go back & wipe any excess off ........ Adams undercarriage spray works well as an engine bay dressing as well (I used it on the 1965 Mustang).

It seems more durable than the black. I could be imagining things, but I've had more headaches in dealing with black than any other BMW paint. Interlagos Blue also seems to be a stronger clear.

Great job, I just love the coupe 335's. So you just lightly sprayed the engine with the foam cannon?

This may be a really dumb question but what is the Menzerna AIO? I dont see an all in one product on their page. Thanks.

Ment to ask you this, did you do anything to the exhaust tips? I can tell the owner made a few mod changes to the BMW.

It's actually the stock exhaust the previous owner had removed & then reinstalled. The tips are out further than they should be. The stock exhaust is a non-polished steel so there isn't much you can do to brighten them other than cleaning the soot off.

Yeah, just a very light coat (2 quick passes) to loosen up the dirt/grime. Same amountt of pressure when rinsing the engine bay.

Menzerna AIO would be the same as the Menzerna Sealing Wax. AIO is a reference to the Sealing Wax that I have read elsewhere. Menzerna just chooses to call it a "sealing wax".
