2007 Pontiac G5

Great job, Carlos! Very nicely detailed write-up/review. You made that blue look deeper and it certainly "pops". Nice reflections!
Did you use your Metabo on the side-mirror housing as well?

Gary Sword - Thank you Gary, I appreciate the compliment y friend. The backing plate I got it from Europe. A friend of mine was kind enough to do some shopping for me. Very nice backing plate. Oh I agree, the colour looks really good and I love blue.

supercharged - Thank you, since the vehicle is brand new and it's my favorite colour I went all out on it and I wanted the colour to look perfect. So I spend extra time going over every curve/coner of the exterior. I still spent more time on the interior then the exterior. The interior is where it's all at hehehehe.

ehuth1 - Glad to hear you enjoyed the write up, I try to add as much detail as I can and sometimes I feel as though I just blab on and on but glad you guys enjoy it. Oh menzerna is a wicked product, I don't know if it's me but when I polish a vehicle I can see the paint fash over specially when using Menzerna products. It's as though Menzerna makes the paint just stand out more. As I polished this vehicle I got really close to the paint to sinpect the polishing and as I kept going through I could see the paint change/flash..well maybe it's just my eyes/me but I don't know if anyone else see's this too. The Metabo is a good machine, I've used it for about 10hrs straight and my hands don't hurt/ache. That is wicked and I'm very pleased with my Metabo.

pirex - Thank you my friend and I know what you mean because I'm the same way, the more reviews I read the more I want to try things out for my self hehehe. Thank you for the feed back.

alban61 - Thank you for the compliments alban. Yes, I used the Metabo on the side mirror. Just on that smal peace that has paint on it. I use the Metabo for the entire body of the vehicle. On the bumper I just lower the rpm a bit and I hardly get any heat produced.

I have determined that I need to make a trip to your place soon. After exams this time! Then I for sure won't be bailing out on you.

Nica, phenomenal work as usual! That blue looks amazing, very nice!

sneek - Hey buddy, hope school is going well for you my friend. Just let me know when my friend and I'll be waiting for you. Thanks for the compliments.

P1et - Thank you for the compliments.

Super job Carlos. You are becoming a real pro. Rotary, wet sanding, what's next, body work? LOL.

Carlos, you are the one that takes it to the next level. Your work is superb. Awesome write up. Really the car doses look better then new. Thanks for the info on the backing plate and pads. I'm also looking for something for my rotary. Don't get me wrong, Edge pads are great for my PC, but I'm having issues with them on my rotary.
:applause:

Carlos,
I'm very impressed with your review,pics,products..I'm liking the way the pad sits on your backing plate..the amount of work you put into this thread for all of us to view is very much appreciated.. great work !!

Thanks for sharing

Rsurfer - Thanks buddy for the compliment, to be honest the rotary is easy nothing to it..heck if I can do it anyone can seriously. Now wet sanding, that's fun I love wet sanding. I got my paint gauge now and I feel much better knowing what is existing then just guessing or "assuming". Body work, maybe. One of my friends own's his own body shop and I go visit him from time to time. The wife want's the Volvo re-painted so I might end up doing that my self....maybe lol....for now wool pads is next...but I'll only use wool pads when I have really bad vehicles to work with and the customer is willing to pay for it. The problem with wool pads is that it requires a few steps to get the paint looking flawles. Now wool pads is where true paint correction comes into play, you can do amazing work with wool pads and I'm looking forward to it. I love a challenge.

sparkie - hey bro!! Thanks for the compliment dude, but I couldn't have done it with out the help of people here (like your self). Edge pads do okay with my rotary but not that great, don't get me wrong I like them but I find that with rotary I'm better off with the Lake Country/Meg's and now the Menzerna pads. Odd thing is that witht he Cyclo the edge pads seem a better match then the Lake Country pads. Oh the 4inch Lake Country pads work wicked with the rotary too much better then on the Cyclo. Once again my friend thank you for the compliment.

joe.p & Al - Thank you guys for the big compliment. I too I'm very impressed with my results much better now. By the way you guys are more then welcome...with one condition...vehicles are a must for me to detail ;)

To think this is all thanks to FloridaNative and her bug :D

Carlos,
Thoroughly enjoyed the writeup, pics and product reviews! Your friend must be ecstatic and very happy that she listened to you and followed your advise. I am going to try the LC ccs pads and take advantage of AG's sale! You will find, if you haven't already that either the 106ff or the FPII will be your "go to" products most of the time.

Awesome write up!
:applause:
I need to find this pad for when I buy my now rotary soon

awsome job

There no more pictures.

I really like this color and after polishing with Menzerna Final Polish II it made the paint come life. Looks really good and it has wicked flakes that Wolfgang did not mute and Souveran bring them out.

Any feed back/suggestions/questions/complaints feel free to ask.

looks great, i ordered the PO 106,waiting for it to come in,should get great results with my pc, have several vehicles to try on,any information on this product open for suggestions.:righton:

richy - Thanks buddy. Oh the owner is more then happy, after she picked up the vehicle from my house she went over to a friends house and her friend "...she knows nothing about cars.." said that the paint looked better then new. The owner phoned me to tell me that and man that is a big compliment...oh and I get a lunch out of it too..sweet..to have a complete stranger notice the work is a very big compliment for me. The owner is extremely happy with the work I did. I agree richy 106FF and FPII are really good products and I keep falling back to 106FF.

devst8 - Glad you enjoyed it, and the backing plate is really good, I give it a thumbs up :D

carguy - Thank you for the kind words. 106 is a really good product, you should get really good results with it. Remember to use a finishing pad and try to avoid cutting pads.
