So, you may have seen the giant blacked out GMC Denali Duramax dually I detailed... If not Click here

Anyway, after restoring the credibility of "detailers" to this client, he immediately scheduled his BMW M6 for the same treatment!

This car was in far better condition than his truck, so steps were not nearly as aggressive.

The Final Product!:
IMG_0769.jpg

Process

Wash/Decon
Optimum No Rinse
Optimum Yellow Clay
806 WorX for the wheels
Various Wheel Woolies
Meguiar's APC 2:1 on tires/wells

Correction
CarPro Essence
Griots BOSS G21
Griots MF Cutting
CarPro Gloss Pad

To remove the swirls/RIDs we used the Griots BOSS with the Griots MF Cutting pad and Essence, this was perfectly aggressive but left some hazing. We followed up with the CarPro Gloss Pad and Essence to restore the clarity and insane gloss.

Coating/Protection:
Optimum Gloss Coat (Side Windows/Paint/Plastics)
CarPro Forte on glass
CarPro DLUX on wheels
Optimum Gloss Coat on under-hood plastics
CarPro PERL on tires

On to the pictures!

Beautiful car and nice work. I love black on black, shiny tires & was that a camo engine? Car is rad!

Essence is pretty expensive

What is your thought process for using it in the cutting AND polishing steps?

Do you dilute the PERL for your tires at all? How long does it typically last?

For this car I used it straight, very very little bit though due to how small the sidewall was. It lasts a few weeks on a fairly driven vehicle.

It worked for this vehicle, left some larger defects, obviously. It was paired with a very aggressive pad though. Personally, I like it as a finishing polish.
