Client recently purchased this car and wanted to get it looking new again. The clear bra was yellowed and detracted from the cars appearance so we decided to remove it as well. The paint was in average condition for the year with moderate swirls and a few RIDS. The color made it very difficult to capture defects so you’ll have to take my word for it on the before condition. ;)

Process:
Wash - Foam bath with Chemical Guys Citrus Wash
Wheels – Sonax Full Effect Wheel Cleaner using various brushes.
Tires – Optimum Power Clean
Chrome tips – Optimum Metal polish and #0000 steel wool
Paint correction step 1 – Meguiar’s M105 via rotary polisher and LC PFW pads
Paint correction step 2 – Meguiars M105 via DA polisher and tangerine LC pads
Paint correction step 3 – Menzerna 106fa via rotary polisher and crimson LC pads
Paint protection – Blackfire Wet Diamond
Tires – Meguiar’s Hyper Dressing at 3:1
Wheels – Sealed with Optimum Opti-Seal
Glass – Meguiar’s D120

Before pics….(hopefully you can see some of the swirls/marring)

Chad, the Benz looks awesome. It was great seeing some more of your work!

That Mercedes turned out awesome. Great looking car.
Outstanding job,owner will be proud!

That is a bad-arse sedan!!

Great work again, Chad! With a car like that you'd figure the owner would have opted for OC ;) Next time!

chad, how do you remove clear bra? Do you also install them? if so, how is it done?

nice work sir, how did you correct the trim?

Thanks!

I used M105 on the DA with 3" MF pads followed by M205 with 4" foam pads.

As usual Chad, the Benz looks great!

Thank you!

I've worked with installers before but I do not personally install film. I did get some tips from another AGO user, though I can't recall his screen name.

I did shoot a video though. ;)

Thank you! :)

so all you did rasky for clear bra removal was just pull it off??

Pretty much. :)

I used some solvent to clean off the dark line of dirt around all the seams, but thats it. I did polish all the newly exposed paint too.

It doesn't peel off very easily....if you watch the video you can see just how hard I'm pulling up on it. I've had some installers tell me you should use a heat gun or let it sit in the sun, but I've also had just as many say it's not needed. I've also had the film leave behind adhesive whether I've used a heat gun or not.

Personally I think it all comes down to the make of film and how or who it was installed by.

Great work Chad!

Love that 6.2liter benz engine! Music to my ears.

what adhesive remover do you use chad? I have 3m wax and adhesive remover in a can is the aerosol version better? I also have a heat gun..

That is a Hawt and Phat ride there!

I am contemplating removing my bra as well on my car. This just might give me the motivation to do it.

I really like those wheels
