He is going to call and tell them he wants someone else to fix it and bill them and if they agree I will fix it for him and bill the bodyshop

the painter must suck if they had to polish everything. it makes my profession look bad.

they didnt even bother to wipe ANY of the polishing dust off the car. its EVERYWHERE..in EVERY seam

Geesh, are those pics right after the deer hit? I have had success in fixing damage like that for a client and billing the body shop. It took small claims court but we were successful. Hopefully the shop steps up and does the right thing.

I can't imagine anyone returning a car to a customer looking like that.

Wow, that's really bad.

Did your neighbor notice it? Or was it you that picked it up?

Wow.

Really?

I have yet to understand how people can think this is acceptable.

no he knew it and texted me right away they ruined his car..he didnt pick it up at the body shop..they took it to a garage to have it inspected for him so he picked it up there..so he hasnt been able to talk to them yet

It was from a shop in my town..they have been in business for like 30years though..they are reputable to fix a crash but obviously they are not when comes time to care for the paint.

thats how my grand prix looks at the moment. the only thing im thankful for is that theres not one ding/dent and the shine is nice for a northeastern car that was stored near a saltwater enviornment for 10yrs and theres not an ounce of rust anywhere.

WOW that is amazing but it does not surprise me one bit!

looks like the paint lost the battle against the wool pad there :S

They even "dressed" the tires for him. That was a nice touch!!!

Thats how every car looks after i buff it! Pretty cool effect dont you think? :)

JK!!!

Cool story.... When i worked at a body shop the painter sometimes to finish other things quick, let his son buff the cars. He said this to him, "throw some compound and just spread it with the machine!!!" so the kid went on doing circles, zig zags, lines, etc. Sadly, no one there knew how to use a rotary.

Looks great...See told you he would save A TON of money by not having you detail it...

Seriously......this is what they call detailed? It's no wonder to me that I was able to make over $700 dollars on the side last month, by really stepping it up a notch. I feel better and more confident about my skills after seeing a hack job like that. A gentleman picked up his car from me and said it looked better than the last guy who detailed it! That was music to my hears and definitely worth more than any money I received that day. Word of mouth my friends.....it's a good thing!
