the car came in with a good amount of swirls and a few deeper scuffs in the hood. after talking with the customer about his wash technique i found out he uses the 2 bucket method, but drys the car with an Absorder and finished the car with Cosco microfibers that get washed with Tide and fabric softener :nomore:. i gave him a few tips on drying and finishing, as well as showed him some better products that will help prevent this from happening again. i used FG400 on a Meguiars MF cutting pad on the hood, roof, and deck lid. then used Rupes UHS as a finish polish after the FG400 and on the rest of the vehicle to remove the swirls. Topped if off with Menz Powerlock.

Some deeper scuffs in the hood

Jeremy Clackson is not so impressed with these swirls

after a few rounds with fg400 and UHS

Mr. Clarkson is pleased with the gloss and lack of swirls

i was super impressed with the new UHS system. it took some getting use to, but after a few trys it performed amazing!!

Very beautiful colour that got new life & fantastic finish which is surely beyond your customer's imagination.
Not everybody knows how to polish (detail) this particular colour, the hood looks like it's a light violet/blue liquid mercury that wants to drop from the hood. Simply amazing.

Amazing finish. Nice work. UHS is great.

Did you use the UHS pads as well. Beautiful car, my hopeful next. Check my Avatar.

Nice work!

I used Rupes UHS pad and compound also on a Lexus IS350. It removed everything except for the deepest scratches.

I did a few section passes with 4 drops of UHS compound and very light pressure, followed by a few section passes with only the weight of the machine. It has the longest work time of any compound I've ever used. Love it!

Did you only use uhs after the fg400 or did you try the uhs on some panels all by itself.

I only used FG400 on the hood, roof and deck lid. I then used UHS like sf4000 to refine the finish one those panel. I used UHS by itself on the rest of the vehicle.
