The owner of this 2009 Aston Martin DB9 contacted my local Aston dealer and wanted his car to look like a new car no matter what the cost. The car recently had the left rear quarter re-sprayed.

As you can see in the pics this was not going to be a walk in the park as the paint was covered in deep RIDS.

Sun shots before.

As with all your work, great job!

It seems you have a great relationship with the Orlando Aston Martin dealership. They always have nice rides going through there, and from what I've seen, you get to work on most of them. Keep up the incredible work.

Great work on the AM....did you get any PTG readings on the trunk lid? I only ask because I worked on a DB7 a few weeks ago and it had horribly thin paint on the back edge of the trunk lid; wondering if it is an ongoing problem with the AM's or just a fluke on the one I worked on.

Amazing job on the Aston Richie! That's a beautiful car.

Must be nice when you can say "whatever the cost." I wonder how much the dealership charged the owner.

Nice work Bing

Its good to see you posting here. See if you can get Bobcat to post here too

Don't you love it when these up-scale vehicles are taken through an auto-mated car wash? ugh...

Very nice detailing save. Are you located in South Florida?

Looks great, seems like they washed that car with a Brillo Pad. Would love you to share you procedure with us.

HI Rich,

You seem to have the touch. Can you tell everyone the specifics or differences in the Paint on the AM vs. what most of us might run into.Say a BMW or Corvette.Softer clear? harder? Thinner?

Thank you,
Nate

Great job correcting the paint surface on this DB9. The DB9 looks beautiful.

The trunk on the newer Astons is composite so no readings were taken.

The DB7 you worked on may have been savaged by a previous detailer.

Thanks Meghan. As Flash mentioned I do not post my products or processes for my own reasons. I do buy the majority of my products fron AutoGeek.net though.

Please see above.

Thanks. Most Aston clear is more of a medium hardness. Paint thikness is usually 150- 200 microns when new.

Great job correcting the paint surface on this DB9. The DB9 looks beautiful.

Thank you.

Bing typically doesn't devulge this info (with good reason). If you have a specific question you will be more likely to get a response ;)

Thanks Flash.
