This G8 belongs to a good friend of mine, and we decided it was time to clean it up a bit. The car is not stock, it has headers, intake, exhaust, tune, and prob some more things I can't think of.

The owner said he drove through some "concrete", I thought he was joking, it was actually really hard to remove from the wheel wells.

Process

Foam canon with DP xtreme foam
2BM wash with CG Citrus wash
Diablo gel and APC on the wheels, wheel wells, and tires.
Dried with WW towels
Polished with M205, white/green LC pads
LSP - Blackfire wet diamond
Blackfire total eclipse tire gel
Aquapel on windsheild
APC and 303 aerospace on the inside

All photos are unedited, taken with Nikon D7000 and various lenses.

Here are a few before pictures.

It was pretty obvious that the paint didn't have much protection left.

That concrete was bad! Great job on the car! Nice Brembos too.

Initially I said; OH MAN, this could be trouble!

I'm glad it came off and in the end the G8 looks great and I', willing to bet we have one happy owner....:props:

Nice SAVE!! :dblthumb2:

Awesome work man!

Nice to see another person from Kzoo. Where abouts are you?

I've always love these cars. Almost bought one, but figured the suv would be better with my new born. I love a good american 4 door V8! GREAT JOB by the way!

Awesome job.:xyxthumbs: I had to tackle something similar today

I didn't even notice the Kalamazoo thing. I grew up in Portage.

Great work! Just curious, what was the total time on the car?

Thanks everyone, I put around 6-7 hours into it.

Beautiful car and great job!

Was that splattered paint by the wheels? If so, would love some advice on getting it off. I ran over some paint that fell off of someones truck about a year ago and I've never been able to get it off.

It was "concrete" according to the owner and was a PIA to remove. I've taken some paint off of wheel wells before, I used a degreaser and a plastic razor blaze to get most of it off or a really stiff bristle brush.

Nice work!

Not always a black wheel fan, but it works on that car IMO.

Nice job lots of real estate to polish. Thank god for all the relatively flat panels. Quick tip, save a little time and don't bother taping the fender vents. Just push slightly toward the front of the car and they pop right out!

Nice turn around! Im still trying to get my tape to look as good as yours lol.

Thanks everyone! Didn't know that about the fender vents, great tip!
