This was busy weekend for me, 3 cars in 3 days. No I am not a full time detailer so I started Friday with a Kia Optima, day two was a Charger K9 car and this was yesterday. A 2009 Ford Mustang convertible with somewhere in the 40k range on the clock.
Process:
Wheels were Wolfgang Uber and Turtle Wax tire cleaner in preparation for their tire coating.
Wash was Megs Gold Class followed up by medium grade nano towel with car wash soap and ONR as lube.
This was supposed to be a one step using D151 on a white Hybrid pad but I just wasn't happy with the results. I switched to Menz 2500 on a white Hybrid on a Flex.

Car on arrival, this weekend we saw snow so I started out in the low 30's washing, brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

After washing, this is the hood:

Here is the 50/50

Here I am dressed and ready to impress:

Yes I know the pad on the windshield looks blue, its a white pad that was washed with blue Korean edgeless towells!
Over all I think it turned out awesome. I topped with with WGDGPS. Tires picked up the turtle wax coating.

Wow John! Beautiful transformation on that neglected black paint! Looks incredible now!

Thanks for sharing.

Let us know how the 3401, White Hybrid, and 3n1 works out. :xyxthumbs:

Wait, is this blue/white pad the same deal as the white or blue dress?

Wow that paint was hammered, way to bring it back to life!

Thanks everyone, I really enjoyed working on this car. There was much more that could have been done but for a basic detail I was calling it quits. I'm not scrubbing trim and solution finish the trim.

Looks great! Those dark colors can be unforgiving, but you really brought that luster back.

Great job!! Was the owner totally thrilled? Would have been if it was mine!

He was, text me the next two days, then called me to say he got stuck in the rain and wanted to know how to dry it!
