Its been about a month since I last posted a video to my youtube channel.

YouTube.com/PremiumDetailFL

I have been slammed busy with work as well as building my own product line. Things are comming together quite nicely.

I have several more videos to edit and get them uploaded so stay tuned.

This is an Accord I detailed last Saturday. The car was very hazy when it arrived to my shop, but after some polishing the flake was popping like crazy. It recieved some paint chip repair with the Dr.Colorchip system and an application of the Opti-Guard permanent coating.

Enjoy

Garry...very nice work man!! I love Honda's! I have a question for you...I notice you didn't tape the chrome trim and the handles...when would you tape? I'm assuming these products are safe in that it doesn't stain the trim? When should you tape?

Also, can you use the OEM touch up paint with the Dr. Colorchip?

Looks great Garry:dblthumb2:

Thanks bro! Are you in Vegas mode yet?

Another Garry Dean classic :applause:

Thanks Flash.

I usually only tape when I fear whatever polish or polisher Im using may stain trim or burn through an edge. I used the Griots Garage DA on this one with orange Buff and Shine pads and Menzerna Power Finish. There wasnt much trim to worry about on this car either way. I actually lightly went over the chrome and the handles with the polisher to shine them up as well.

No, you cannot use OEM touch up paint with the Dr.Colorchip system.

yeah I saw where you went over the handle. I guess overtime I'll figure it out on what stains and what doesn't.

Have you ever tried the Langka kit? I think you use OEM touch up paint for that.

I'm a fan of your work sir...keep doing what you do!

It just amazes me that some people neglect their cars that much that they get to that point within a year or two. I mean that was a 2010 model for pete's sake! Needless to say you did a great job, as always, in getting it back up to snuff.

Keep the videos coming. I love watching your work!

Fantastic Job Garry . I love the Dr Color Chip really great product.

Unfortunately it only takes a few trips through a car wash to really swirl things up and I don't think most people realize what's happening. At any rate, that's some good work Garry.

Another Garry Dean masterpiece. I am very glad to see you posting again. I look forward to every detail you do.

Absolutely fantastic job Gary, over all how long did it take you to do the whole car, I know that taking the video takes time as well but over all without video how long would you say it took?

Your pink microfibers are cute Garry. Were they especially made for you?

I think someone @ Dr Colorchip may be trying to send you a message ;)

Another excellent result and vid, Garry! :xyxthumbs: Better bring that camera Tuesday night, never know what you might capture that can be used for blackmail later. :D

Did the Dr. Colorchip paint for that color contain any flake?

TL

BTW, I've got the first round in Vegas.

Smart move Garry ^ that way the rest of the night, you can keep telling them you got the last round. They'll be so liquored up, they'll never catch on ;)

Good call on B.C.A.M :props:

You know my camera will be sewn to my hand.

Yes, it does contain flake. I will take a pic tomorrow and post it.

lol, right.

Car looks awesome Garry...I have that color too and love the flake in it.

I'm in the same boat as your customer though and will be looking into Dr. Colorchip sooner than later. How long did you wait to apply the Opti on top of the touch-up spots? Will that time differ from product to product? I guess everything but the LSP should be done prior to DRC?

Bill and Dan (The owners of Dr.Colorchip) both told me that 10-15 minutes is sufficient cure time before applying a coating.

Yes, they recommended highly that I do all of my polishing and an ISO wipe down before applying the paint.
