Beautiful work. Very nice outcome. Just curious your neighbors don't mind you working outside at night with the pressure washer? My neighborhood would call the HOA. Although it is the best time to wash. Thanks for posting and sharing.

The only thing my neighbors tell me is "my cars next right" lol.

I try to get all the loud tools finished before 10-11pm

For the most part washing at night is more ideal, the only con is visibility is still better in the day time. I only use one Husky led so moving it around everywhere is a pain haha need to invest in some flood lights

Looks just fabulous. Porsche black is my favorite paint to work on.

Excellent job and nice before and after pics! I bought a twin halogen flood light stand and it really lights things up. But like you said its a pain to move around. :dblthumb2:

Great job on that 997! I know for experience how difficult some of the details on the 911 are, especially the engine cover, and you did a fantastic job. You can really see the difference in those lights! Thanks for sharing.

What did you use on the thin panels on the engine cowl?

What Pads? Diameter? Backing Plate?

What compound? Number of passes? Pressure?

Very nice job.

How do you like the Rupes21 with the 5" BP? I heard a couple people say they didnt like how it performed with the smaller BP.

I used my GG6 with 3.5" BP and hydrotech 4" pads

Cyan pad - Uber compound followed by Crimson pad - Sonax PF

I used a medium pressure with about 4-5 passes with uber compound, lighter pressure with 4 passes with Sonax pf.

That was the one area i was worried about, i thought the 4" pads would have been to big but it actually worked very well

:xyxthumbs:

So far i love it.

Although i dont know if its the washer mod or the smaller pads but when i used the megs microfiber pads they heated up really fast on speeds 4.5 and up. Dropping the speed to 4 or 3.5 corrected this though and it still had great cutting ability at that speed. Definitely need to do some more testing :buffing:
