2010 Ford Taurus SHO

I guess people do not understand that you pay ABOUT 10K for every 100 HP in the sports car world.

The only reason cars would cost more than that is because of luxury items and the noteriety of the car i.e. Corvettes, Ferraris, Bimmers, etc.

Think about it. A 2010 Mustang GT has 315 HP. Most of these cars cost in the ballpark of $31,000 give or take a few grand depending on where you live. A base Model LS3 C6 Corvette costs roughly $47-50,000 and it has 430 HP. See the trend?

So, given that info, Ford asking $39,000 for that car is not asking more than the regular person is paying for any other car. Plus, you are given a car with ALOT of potential. Twins??? Get a boost controller and rip the road up.

Those who say it's too heavy. Look at the new Camaro. It weighs just a hair shy of 4,000 lbs. Cars are becoming heavier and heavier due to safety standards and other crap that the DOT is requiring. For this FAMILY SEDAN to weigh jsut a hair over 4,000 is not bad at all. The AWD is gonna kill off the line and in my opinion, if the drivetrain Ford is putting in the SHO can put the power to the wheels then I think you'll find that you have a car just as fast as a new Camaro SS. Yes, I went there.

Well, I guess I will not start something like THIS new car preview again. LOL I will just have to stick with detailing vehicles. :DIm the MAN:D

Hey, Killr,

Did you ever get that DD for your commute  ??

BTW, what's the cost per pound for real Maine lobster in FL these days?? :) That's gotta be "gigantic" too................... ;)

Tell me you bought a car?!?!?!?! :Picture:

See ya :)

If you want a new Ford, Lincoln or Mercury, let me know. I can also get very good deals on Nissan, Infiniti & Mercedes Benz.

I have not been able to pickup a used car that fits my bill. Unfortunately to many years with a father in the business and dealers that would rather live on a dealers draw than actually sell a unit and make a little money. Funny to see all the units I have offered money on still sitting on lots and dealers still not moving them yet complaining on how bad the environment today is ....

I am buying American .. thus is my personal preference. I am looking for a Saturn Aura XR (07 or 08). It must have all options (only two , leather and sunroof). Its a daily work car only and I am not spending more than 14k CASH. I know the window on this car was 27-29k ... but I also know auction value, wholesale value, and the significant price drop of any GM especially a company being sold to Penske in the fall.

My father too is still with Nissan as a sales manager, and I can have a dozen low mileage Maxima's or Altima's but not with the options the Aura comes with in its price zone. Stabilitrak, side airbags, 230watt stereo, XM, power everything, remote start, 3.6 Liter V6 VVT, 18 inch wheels. Hey its only a daily driver but still want the extras when driving 400 miles or so a week !

2010 SHO with just a tune

There is no aftermarket stuff for this car and it is flying with just a tune (increase in boost). WOW

nice lookin ride, but there are SOOO many other nicer cars, and a good amount of more powerful cars for the same price and cheaper. Nice car, but i would not spend the money. You can get a used C6 for that price!!!! not to mention a new evo!!

The Ford is a very sharp car no doubt about it.With a sun roof it doesent have enough head room for me. I myself like the new Buick LaCross.

Kinda looks like a $40k grocery getter to me.....I would rather buy a Pontiac GTP and mod it, Or a Grand National.

it just ran a 12.7 with a tune.... and 3 people in the car lol...

NICE.

For the price, thats a damned good 4 door, luxo all around car.

^i have heard the rumors on my mustang board... thats pretty fast for a big car, but it is def pricey.

Now that the 2013 has been put on a diet and redesigned, it really looks to be what the 2010 SHOULD have been. I had a chance to get a 2010 with 5k on it for 14k under sticker but it felt too heavy. I'm glad I didn't.

Hope this one hits with awesome reviews.

I do agree that it does look much better.

But I hate this universal trend of cars getting thicker. Is it because of safety? I dont know, but its rediculous.

For example, the current challenger looks rediculous. If they took all the body panels and squished them several inches, it would look so freaking cool. But nope, they made it bloated and ugly.

It also seems that back windows are getting smaller and more angled, even on sedans. At least more backup cameras are showing up.
