Well I finished up my buddies 2010 Wrangler yesterday and I will say I'm pretty impressed with the results. I didnt think it would come out as good as it did. I had another thread going asking for advice on how to attack this, and thanks everyone who helped out. Friday night I washed it, cleaned his engine which had 56,000 miles and was never cleaned, clayed it, taped everything off, pulled the mirrors off, wiper arms off, spare tire off, and rear plate bracket. Friday night I also did a test spot using FG400 with a LC orange flat pad followed up with SF4000 and a LC white flat pad. That came out well, but when I started on it Saturday, I gave it a shot substituting the orange pad for a Meguiars MF cutting disc and that worked even better so thats how I attacked it. So 1st pass over the Wrangler was FG400 with a Meguairs MF cutting disc, 2nd pass was SF4000 with a LC white flat pad, 3rd pass was with Pinnacle Souveran Paste Wax and a LC blue flat pad.

Looks great! Excellent job. I owned a Wrangler for several years, great vehicle, hard to maintain. Well done, Sir.

Peace,

Darrin

Looks awesome. Those wranglers are a huge PIA to detail.

Looks great. Have a friend with a wrangler who from time to time I clean. Paint is so hard to work with being that it is always offset by some other object. Hood is also oddly very long

Thanks everyone, definitely was a major Pita, but I'm very pleased with the results. Think I'm going to upgrade from the HF DA polisher now that I'm confident in my abilities and I will now start charging people for my services.

If that was a freebie, your buddy got the deal of the century. That is an impressive job. That thing is gorgeous now. Job well done!!!

Well semi freebie, he split the cost with me on a Griots 3"polisher. That thing was a life saver for this Wrangler, still had to do some things by hand. He also bought beer, lunch, and dinner. I would have done it for free though, I wanted to tackle this jeep because I figured it would be very difficult and it would be a huge test for me. I can promise you I wouldn't touch another Wrangler in that kind of condition for anything less than $300. Even that would be a deal imo

How much would you charge for something like this ?

Sorry just saw this. I'm still fairly new at this and not really sure how to price stuff out yet. But I would say $300 just for my time and would have to figure out how much material costed me.
